Festival de Feijoada Bio (Bio Bean Stew Festival)
During the ‘Aldeia Bio – Organic & Nature Fair’ on the 19th and 20th of July, there will be the 'Festival de Feijoada Bio' in the parish of Vila Maior. Feijoada is the traditional bean stew with various kinds of meat. This event brings together organic producers, family farmers and traditional agriculture, artisans and other producers in the agri-food area.

10. Festival do Feijão (Beans Festival)
During the beans festival farmers and local people with gardens present their local varieties, traditional dishes and recipes. Togehter with artesanal local beer it is an experience for everybody in the region and visitors from outside.

26. Festa da Castanha e do Mel (Chestnut and Honey Festival)
In the festivals mountain area there is a significant amount of chestnut and honey production. Small producers present their local products with lots of cultural entertainment. Talks on replanting the chestnut trees that were burned in last year's fires will be part of the program.
